Payment policy

A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required to secure your reservation and the balance 04 weeks prior arrival. To secure reservations on a safari departing less than 4weeks full payment is required at the time of booking.
African Route Safaris reserves the right to cancel reservations that are not paid in full at any time after final payment is due, in which case cancellation charges will apply.

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellation must be done in writing. We will not accept cancellations made by phone. Cancellation charges will be calculated as of the date we receive your cancellation and refunds shall be calculated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and African Route Safaris cancellation policy as below; Cancellation or amendment more than 120 days prior to commencement of the safari 90% refund, 10% cancellation charge Cancellation or amendment less than 60 days but up to 30 days prior to commencement of the safari 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge. Cancellation or amendment less than 30 days but up to 15 days prior to commencement of the safari: 10% refund, 90% cancellation charge. Cancellation or amendment less than 15 days or more than 3 days prior to commencement of the safari: 0% refund and 100% cancellation charge.
If you are a no-show, cancel your day tour/ trip or safari after the departure date, or if you leave a trip already in progress, you will not receive any refund for any unused portion of your trip. There is no right to a refund for any unused services.
